According to Kuehne + Nagel, the long – standing dispute between the French government and trade union organizations over pension reform has recently escalated again. A new round of strikes has hit several ports in France, including the Port of Marseille.
The affected ports include Le Havre and Marseille. These are the two largest maritime gateways for container transportation in France and also serve as hubs for many railway freight services.
The trade union organization said that it will carry out four – hour strikes each day in the following days: February 6th, February 10th, February 12th, February 14th, February 18th, February 20th, and February 24th.
